Climate Network for Estonian NGO's is an unofficial and formless platform for exchanging info and experiences related to climate change. The network gives all nonprofit organizations an opportunity to be up to date with what is currently being done on climate issues in Estonia, to pool resources with others working on similar projects, to find partners and aid for one’s activities or to support the work of others.
There are currently 32 member organizations in the Estonian NGO Climate Network. The network includes both larger environmental organizations and organizations for local advocates.
The climate network is financed through the “Developing an active civil society organizations climate network” project with funding from the Active Citizens Fund (ACF) Estonia. The ACF programme is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The fund is active in 15 EU Member States in Central and Southern Europe and the Baltics. The fund works to accomplish the general objectives of the grants of the European Economic Area 2014-2021, to decrease economic and social inequality and to strengthen the bilateral relationships between the donor states and the receivers of the grants. In Estonia the operator of the Active Citizens Fund is the Open Estonia Foundation in cooperation with the Network of Estonian Nonprofit Organizations.
